MONTH OF JULY 2021

July is a Month of Restoration and Healing . Our HemanHene has spent the start of the month in deep Meditation for our beloved Kumasi. He is passionate about the programs we run and has become our Advisor and Partner. Recent rain storms have shifted the lives of many of our families here in Ghana and we want to take this Month to focus on our healing as we continue to trust that all will be restored . During this month we will welcome thirty of our “ Circle of Friends from the Diaspora home. They will complete over eight missions and impact the lives of hundreds of people in Ghana. We can’t heal alone but we can shed and heal together. “ Healing Our Roots”,

Details to follow after you RSVP : [email protected]

OCTOBER IS OUR MONTH TO GROW!

Grow Go and Keep Growing is our Aim in October. We want our Children to know that opportunity is at their finger tips and no matter their circumstances, they can achieve greatness. Building knowledge increases self-regard based on real achievement. There is so much that can be learned that deepens understanding over the whole of life. The secret to having self-respect is in the satisfaction of building your power. Skill and knowledge reside inside, are not external and not so easily lost.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!

Bridge-To-Africa Connection is commited to teaching the Women who we have connections with in the Village about ” Self Care” teaching them how to do regular breast exams on themselves and how to practice healthy eating. Research has shown how Breast Cancer has taken the lives of many women and often times we don’t take the time to ” Check First”. We want our young people to check for warning signs and also our Women whom we serve in Mampong to be aware of their bodies. Please be sure to ” Take Care of your Breast”. Cancer can’t fester in a healthy body.

MONTH OF NOVEMBER

NOVEMBER ~ You have come and we are thankful that beyond all that’s happened God is still taking care of the children of BTAC. Life is constantly changing; thus, it would be excellent to think of change and embrace it to have a more fruitful life. Indeed, change is just part of life, and you need to anticipate and accommodate it when it finely arrives to reduce any adverse results in your life. This month we will focus on GRATITUDE, GIVING AND GROWTH. Through our humble spirits we are thankful for all that’s happening to push us forward. November we welcome you with open arms. AFRICAN BLACK * PROUD

Dear Educators , Our African Children need to know that their ” SKIN is Beautiful.” They need not walk in shame and allow the ways of the world to continuously force upon them that African- Blacks are worthless and ugly. Images matter and as we continue to impact the lives of the Children in Ghana, let’s stop putting images in front of them that don’t honor their broad noses, chocolate skin, pearly teeth, broad shoulders, coarse shiny black natural hair, wide toes, big buttocks, healthy skin, powerful DNA and determination to say ” I Love my Black * Chocolate *Carmel Melaninated Skin!

Being born on a continent so rich in diversity has always made me proud. Everything here is diverse – the cultures, the races, the food, the languages… you name it. All the other other continents are beautiful but I can’t imagine being born elsewhere really. Despite all its “darkness” Africa is beautiful!
May is our Month to walk boldly in our culture.
We are unashamed and powerful. Hiding our Joy for being AFRICAN BLACK is not what you will find in May. You will see our Culture on Full display through Education, Fashion
and Food.

Ghana is smiling because we have all survived a rough year and we made it to December.

Our complaints can be many. However, BTAC began the year with Joy and we will end it Rejoicing for it is done. December ( OPENIMA) is about Reflections of Life. Think back to every trial and pat yourself on the back because you never gave up. Today you can stand knowing that with God, Determination and BTAC Circle of Friends you did it. Our children will soon celebrate in love and joy. We continously thank you for your love and support.

Happy Farmers Day

In election years, the Farmer’s Day celebration is held on the first Friday of November, though the first Friday in December remains a Statutory Public Holiday.

The holiday is intended to recognise the significance of agriculture and fishing in Ghana’s economic growth. Open gatherings are organised in the 16 regions across Ghana to award prizes to deserving farmers and fishers as far as best practices and outputs are concerned.
